MS_UNAVAILABLE VIES error

MS_UNAVAILABLE means the member-state VAT database did not respond through the VIES gateway.

Meaning

This is not the same as an invalid VAT number. It means the relevant national registry was unavailable during the check.

Retry later and avoid converting this error into a permanent invalid result in your internal systems.

Check a VAT number

You can paste the full VAT ID with country prefix, or choose the country and enter the local number.
