Data retention
The free checker is intentionally low-retention: it performs a live check and returns the result to you.
Checker data
VAT numbers entered into the checker are not stored in a customer history or database by this MVP.
The server may log a short hash of the checked VAT ID, the country code, duration, and status to monitor reliability and abuse.
Result records
Use the copy button on the result screen if you need to keep a record in your own accounting or tax files.
Consultation numbers are not generated by the standard check used in the free checker.
Future paid workflows
Batch validation or audit-history products should offer explicit retention settings before storing VAT numbers or evidence records.
Until those products exist, treat VAT Validate as a live lookup and explanation tool.
